This vintage French poster from WWI depicts the infantrymen affectionately known as, Poilu, or 'Hairy One' referring to the soldier's bushy moustaches, beards and rustic background. They were known for endurance and bravery but not for obeying without question. The text, "On les aura", translates as " We will have them".
