Description
A vintage self-portrait of one of the earliest female photographers and photojournalists. She received her first camera as a gift from family friend, George Eastman (inventor of the Eastman Kodak camera). The training Frances Johnston received came from the director of photography at the Smithsonian Institute. In her portfolio are portraits of such well known figures as Susan B.
